Cutting down on TV and social media – first step towards inner peace

Today we are bombarded on all sides with entertainment. TVs, social media, computers, tablets, smartphones, you name it. Even cars now have large displays that can entertain us on our drive home. I used to remember that driving home from work would be an excellent opportunity to relax, provided you managed to avoid traffic jams. With modern cars we don’t even get that.

Those seeking to find inner peace must realize that everything that I covered in the introduction, all the various entertainment gizmos, are a source of an immense noise that are killing even the smallest of chance for you to have the quite necessary to hear yourself. To hear what YOU really want, instead of what some Instagram star tells you should want.

That’s why my first piece of advice for anyone who seeks to get on the path towards inner peace should be to cut down social media, TV, smartphones, and everything else along these lines. This will go a long way towards your goal of having inner peace. What do you think? Can you live with just 15 minutes of social media a day?
